Wildfire Prepared Home readiness

A new Satelife report built on the IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home™ standard. You answer a short, photo-backed evidence questionnaire about your roof, vents, defensible space and more — and get a verification-ready readiness score across the Essential and Enhanced pathways. It is a pre-check toward an IBHS designation, not the designation itself, and it never changes your wildfire-risk score.

Satelife Wildfire Prepared Readiness report cover showing a readiness score of 74 out of 100, with Essential pathway 87% and Enhanced pathway 50%, marked self-reported and verification-ready.

A readiness pre-check, not another risk score

The wildfire-risk report tells you how exposed a property is. The Wildfire Prepared report answers a different question: how close is this home to meeting a recognised hardening standard — and what is left to do? It is evidence-led, owner-reported, and deliberately score-neutral.

01

Mapped to the IBHS standard

Every question maps to a requirement in the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) Wildfire Prepared Home™ technical standard — split into the Essential and Enhanced pathways.
02

Owner-reported, photo-backed

You self-attest each requirement and can attach a photo or document. Evidence is judged leniently and trust-first — it assembles a verification-ready pack, never a forensic audit.
03

Score-neutral by design

The readiness roll-up is its own headline. It is never folded into the wildfire-risk score, so the two reports stay independent and comparable.

The questions you answer

Eleven short questions, each tied to a Wildfire Prepared requirement. Answer from your own knowledge of the home and, where you can, attach a photo or document. Skipping any item is always fine. The selections below are the answers behind the sample report further down.

The result: an Essential / Enhanced readiness pack

Answers roll up into one readiness score and two pathway percentages, then a per-requirement table that shows exactly what is Confirmed, Unclear, or Not shown — and a closing synthesis of what remains. Below is a real report for a sample Idyllwild, CA home.

WHP readiness detail page: overall readiness 74 of 100, Essential 88% (6 of 8 confirmed, evidence pending), Enhanced 50% (1 of 3 confirmed, gap), and a per-requirement table marking each item Confirmed, Unclear, or Not shown.
The readiness detail page — overall score, the Essential and Enhanced progress bars, and a per-requirement status table with notes.
Resolution page summarising overall readiness of 74 out of 100 (Developing) and listing what remains toward a Wildfire Prepared designation across Essential and Enhanced requirements.
The closing synthesis — a plain-language read of how much remains to reach a Wildfire Prepared designation, item by item.

Honest by design: the output ceiling is “verification-ready, pending IBHS field confirmation.” A Satelife readiness report is a self-reported pre-check — it is not an IBHS designation, which still requires an IBHS field evaluation.
