How it works

# From an address to a
_complete risk report_

A plain-English walkthrough of how every Satelife wildfire risk report comes together — what we look at, how we analyse it, and what you receive.

You give us

## A _property address_

A street address is all we need to begin. We resolve it to the precise parcel and confirm that we have full data coverage for that location before any analysis runs.

- Single-property requests for homeowners, buyers, and agents.
- Portfolio-scale requests for insurers and lenders covering hundreds of parcels at a time.
- No paperwork, no on-site visit, no document uploads required.

We gather

## Everything that _shapes risk_ at that parcel

Independent streams of public data and current imagery are pulled in parallel and pinned to the exact parcel boundary. Each one captures a different piece of the wildfire-risk picture.

- **Recent satellite and street-level imagery** of the property and the land around it.
- **Official hazard classifications** already published for the parcel's jurisdiction.
- **Historical fire perimeters** near the property, scored by recency and proximity.
- **Vegetation, fuel load, and terrain** in a tight ring around the parcel.
- **Long-run climate patterns** — wind, fire-weather indices, and drought tendencies for the region.
- **Brigade response and access** — realistic drive time from the nearest fire stations.

We analyse

## AI reads the property like a _fire inspector_

A computer-vision model assesses the property from the imagery the way a trained inspector would — defensible space, structural hardening, and ember-trap features — and the results are combined with everything else we know about the parcel.

- **Defensible space** — vegetation clearance close to the structure and out to the property line.
- **Home hardening** — roof material, vents, eaves, deck construction, and window type.
- **Human review fallback** — low-confidence visual judgements are flagged for a person to verify before the report is finalised.
- **Final scoring** — every input is combined into a single risk score and one of four action tiers.

You receive

## A report you can _act on_

Every report bundles the same three things: a clear top-line score, the reasoning behind it, and a prioritised plan for what to do next.

### A clear risk score and tier

One headline number, one tier, and the reasoning behind both — so you can compare two properties side by side or hand a single page to your insurer.

### A full PDF report

A clean, shareable PDF with the score, the inputs, satellite imagery of the property, and the full breakdown — designed to read well on paper and email well to anyone.

### A prioritised mitigation plan

Specific things you can do to lower risk, ordered by the impact each one will have. Built around what is realistic for the actual property, not a generic checklist.
